Off Road Bikes Margam Opencast

We are continuing to work with partner agencies to tackle the use of off road vehicles and vehicular anti social behaviour in and around the Margam Open Cast Site.

The neighbourhood policing team will this week meet with the landowner, BCBC environmental Health and the Community Safety Team on a site visit to determine what else can be done to try to tackle the problem.

So far we have:

**Increased patrols in and around the site

**Fitted ASB cameras at certain locations

**Issued warning letters to vehicles believed to be transporting bikes to the site

** Held safety talks in schools

**Published social media campaigns

**Increased signage around the site

Work is ongoing and with the help of partner agencies we hope to work towards reducing the impact that this issue is having on local residents.
